Thanks. My screws are not recessed as well but I do not mind. I cant feel them when I hold the knife. The sheath fits great. Sorry about yours not being to sharp. I love the edge on this blade it looks like a mirror. And your right the micarta is great as well.bh49 wrote:Congrats.
Mine is fairly dull.It cannot cut a paper. Also, screws are not recessed, which is surprising. Still my Forager will serve well to my intention of use: to be a safe (actually display) queen. I love this micarta and you cannot beat the price.
Mine feels that way too, but I can't tell if it's because of the convex edge, or because I'm used to my Yojimbo nearly cutting any appendage near it :pbh49 wrote:Congrats.

Either way, huge chopper for a great price. Plus a fellow forum-ite gave me the riddle for free shipping!
Yes it is slightly different than a yojimbo.ffbeerd wrote:Mine feels that way too, but I can't tell if it's because of the convex edge, or because I'm used to my Yojimbo nearly cutting any appendage near it :p

Mine came yesterday! Not shaving sharp, but for a camp chopper, I don't mind.

I would love to get this size or little bigger Chef's :spyder: knife, made in Italy or Japan with the same materials and quality at the same price. :p00max00 wrote:The blade has to be thinner to be a good slicer, but you don't want end up with a kitchen knife anyway.
Unrealistic, so.
