Where do you guys get your knife lanyards? I'm not very handy so I can't make my own so wondering where to get some. Thanks.

I make my own, it really isn't that hard. There are a lot of websites online that have instructions

This is a great video for a fellow named CutleryLover on how to make simple paracord lanyards like the ones Chris Reeve uses on his sebenzas. I have them on a couple of my knives and they work really well, you can determine how big you want it etc. Really easy to tie as well, I only watched the video maybe 2-3 times and I now can tie one from memory.

If you don't want to make your own, there are several people who make them and sell them on eBay. Just search there for "Spyderco lanyard" or "knife lanyard".

Sorry, I never thought of buying 'em. I can highly recommend Stormdrane's blog and boondoggleman. Of course, it requires a little bit of time to learn, but once you've figured it out you can turn 'em out pretty quickly, in whatever design, size and colors you want. Plus, they're an inexpensive personalized gift for other knife lovers (actually my wife uses hers on her cell phone).

I also make my own, if you're interested in making your own check the sites mentioned above. Also if you need paracord and supplies check out Lighthound and Rotokid's shop.
I also just recently hooked a fellow forumite up. :D
It's usually best to buy from forum members and other people as their prices are often more reasonable compared to the premade one's listed in some online knifeshops.

why did the ppt come with a lanyard direct from spyderco?
has spyderco ever attatched a lanyard on any other model in the past? if so what is the deciding factor as to who gets one vs who doesnt? i mean after all they ALL have lanyard holes. so why?

I'm assuming it's because most of Fred Perrin's knives all include a lanyard so Spyderco just wanted to stay true to his work

I enjoy going to the local outdoor outfitters and buying different types / sizes / colors of utility cord and playing around with 'em.
