Kris the new Persian?

#1

Post by v8r »

I was watching a Kris on flea bay and it went for $305.00!I guess I did pretty well when I bought mine last year in a knife shop on vacation! I won't ever sell mine , but it's nice to know I didn't pay too much for it.

Should we start screaming for a sprint run now? :D ....Just kidding Sal  :D

With the new Persians, it does seem that the Kris might become one of the more sought after rare models.

I was watching that auction as well just to see how high it would go. Makes me glad I got mine before they were discoed. I love the Kris, maybe more than the Persians.

But wait a few more years on a sprint.

****. I saw the auction as well.

I should have picked one up for $200 when I had the chance....

Yeah, I saw that eBay auction as well. It's kinda disheartening for me because I just got into Spyderco collecting in the past year. I'm working hard on getting all of Ed's designs but it looks like I'll have to wait for a future Kris sprint run.

Hopefully, we'll see one in the next few years.

I doubt, or at least to early to tell. Prices on any discontinued knife can spike. And certainly price on C83 can go down after release of sprint, but not much and not for long.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

I've seen the Kris go for a wide range of prices on Ebay.

I was fortunate enough to find one on a forum for $135 about 3 months ago. It's the one that really got me into Schempp designs.

I'd like to see a G-10 version, like what is being done with the Persian sprint run.

I really want an Ed Schempp Custom Kris!

There's one on Blade Gallery, but it's nine bills.

I saw that auction too. I think it was either a fluke or something is fishy...
