This thread finally got me in the mood to change mine. A snippet of a country song works well, I suppose.

vox - While I may have breathed first breath into the mantra, it is not mine, nor can it be soley yours, it belongs to us all. I am most pleased and flattered that you have taken it up. Share with me the joy as all of land joins in the joyful chorus.

"Fear causes hesitation, hesitation causes your worst fears to come true."

Mine is a quote from the movie 'Break point'. It was said by Bodhi (I think played by Patrick Swayze?) who is the leader of a gang of criminal surfers (the Presidents) robbing banks. I think the meaning of the quote is quite clear .

The Litany Against Fear

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind killer.
Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

--Frank Herbert

Mine comes from an interview I saw with James Hetfield quite a while ago. I think the best one I've seen was (I don't know that I can quote it exactly, but this will be close) "There is nothing in the world that is foolproof, because fools are so creative."

Its all fun and games til somebody loses an eye, then its fun and games you can't see.

Well my current one over here is

Shared Joy is increased,
Shared pain is decreased.
by Spider Robinson

it's kinda how I want to live my life. I belive in sharing both joy and pain and it's important to me that my friends know that.

the two quotes I'm wearing over at
blade forums are

We are men of action,
Lies do not become us.
-Carey Elewys as "westley"
in The Princess Bride

I like that one. it's kinda a straight foreward honest piece and I think it's a good sort of attitude to have

the other one is:

Good, Bad, I'm the guy with the gun
-Bruce Cambell as "ash"
From Army of Darkness

It's the token "bad@ss" one. It means it doesn't matter what you think of me I still hit harder than you do.
and I thought the sword was really cool
