I've been reading the paperback of Walking Dead (That amc zombie show) and I must say it's one of the most horrifying things I have seen

Me too, I can't wait...

I'm a huge "Walking Dead" fan, it's perhaps the most grueling, horrifying and depressing comics I've ever read. It's an interesting twist on the genre, casting the humans as the real monsters in a zombie epic, and it's so well done you get about six issues into it before you understand the title refers to the human survivors.

I highly recommend checking out the comic before the series hits the boob tube. AMC is usually pretty good with its adaptations, but it's such a long comic series (11 or 12 trade paperbacks' worth) that unless they're planning for 10 seasons of shows much of the story will be compressed and adapted to accommodate another medium.

I am very excited about Boardwalk Empire. It looks like its going to be a good show.

I didn't know AMC was making a show based on Walking Dead. This has me very interested. I just finished reading Day by Day Armageddon: Beyond Exile, and need a new zombie outlet.

As a historian I'm very interested in this show. Whilst film and television isn't always the most reliable medium when it comes to the accurate representation of the past, the fact that it's HBO and Scorsese gives me hope.

I'm looking forward to Boardwalk Empire. My wife was adamantly addicted to " True Blood". Now I'll have something that suits my entertainment likes. Even if it turns out not to be historically accurate, I'll bet it's closer to the truth than the "True Blood" series.
