Hi, I am new.
Hi, I am new.
Ok, I only have one Spyderco, Pacific Salt. I am about to buy another one, and it looks like it will be the Gayle Bradley, then a Manix, then a stretch.... Spyderco's are too pretty for just 1. Anyway I was looking at there catalog, is the Gayle Bradley the only folder with M4? I really want to test this steel. I work construction in Afghanistan so I hope it is really a hard use knife. The rivet construction makes me not want to use a Pacific salt to hard. My other hard use right now is getting old, 5 years. BM 551 Griptillian, I know some of you hate BM but when I bought it the Axis lock was amazing and still is. I am trying to make the switch though, testing the waters.

Welcome to the forums! Spydies are addicting. I don't think anybody hates Benchmades here. Most guys here have a wide variety of knives from many brands.

Welcome fdrotary, enjoy your time here. There are a lot of knowledgeable folks.
I haven't used my GB hard, but it looks and feels like a very robust knife. The CPM M4 isn't stainless, I've heard it's corrosion resistance is comparable to D2 tool steel. Maybe others have used their GB more than I.
I've used my Manix more and enjoy it a great deal. It's cut rope, plastic straps, plastic and rubber tubing, carboard etc. It holds up pretty well and is pretty easy to sharpen.
I don't think you can go wrong with either of these. I believe the Bradley is the only current spyderco model using M4.

Welcome to the forum!
Other than the limited M4 Military the Gayle Bradley is the only M4 Spyderco so far. M4 is not stainless where D2 is near-stainless and usually doesn't have many corrosion problems.
All of the knives you listed are favorites of mine as well as many people here. Good choices.

I'm pretty sure any one of those choices can do anything your Grip has done so far. :)
