SOG Tomcat in a belt sheath. No pocket clip. A bit heavy but a very very sturdy knife. SOG brags about the lock type which is good but to be honest I've never had a lock of any type fail on me. I know it happens just not to me yet. When opening this knife I push the blade with the thumb stud and it GLIDES open and locks without constant contact by my thumb. It is NOT an assisted opener. When closing it I can hold the knife horizontal, release the lock and the blade just falls pointing straight down. There is absolutely no play in the joint when opening, closing and when locked open. I have never seen a folder with better performance as far as blade play. VG-10 blade.

I carry a Stretch most of the time instead of the Tomcat because of the ZDP-189 blade. I have 3 Spyderco knives that meet all my work and play needs but I truely do love that Tomcat. The first half of the blade from the handle has a very slight recurve shape that I like also.

What's funny is that there are a whole lot of knives here that look like they've never seen a spec of use

Good point, spyderdog.

I can only speak for myself but I think a lot of people might be in the same boat as me.

I love knives but I really don't use them very much. I just don't really have the need to cut things very often. I can sometimes go 3 or 4 months without even touching up the edge on my EDC knives. And usually when I do need to cut something it's something like string or shrinkwrap or packing tape etc.

I recently tried to get into wood carving with a pocket knife (whittling) just so I could use my knives more often but I wasn't any good at it so I gave it up.

I usually carry two knives. One Spydie or Byrd knife and a slipjoint of some kind.

Lately this 2005 Schatt & Morgan Railsplitter keeps ending up in my pocket.

I always carry my Benchmade Model 51 Balisong in my front left pocket. I don't actually use it to cut much, but it's a great way to pass time.

The only non-spydie I carry is the Gerber fast draw. It's not super sharp but we will see if I can't do something about that when I get my Sharpmaker in the mail.

I would still say it's a Chris Reeve, but I just picked up a 3" Hinderer XM-18, so things could very well change :)

Probably an SAK Alox Cadet. Actually, that tends to get most pocket time out of all my knives.

My favorite none Spyderco to care is the CRKT M16-13Z E.R. Orange Zytel Knife. Lightweight and opens easy, but I still prefer my Endura!

Is Malice4you on this forum?
He rarely wanders and rambles on AirsoftGiforums...
Malice, if you read this, it's me, ASFTW *hint hint*
If not, malice is a huge spydie fanatic. I'll post up some of HIS collection ( not mine ) on here.. He's known for his knife porn. He takes the craziest, but most awesome pictures of knives.

Back to the topic:
My non spydie I carry the most would have to be my SOG Aegis... I love the blade shape on that thing. Wish it came out in like a 154cm instead of AUS 8, but I still love it.
My current Spyderweb holds:
Spyderco Tenacious (old reliable),Military in black plain edged S30v, Native in black, KA-BAR USMC plain edge, Ontario RAT 1 folder plain edged, KA-BAR large heavy bowie, SOG seal pup elite in plain edged tiNi,Endura 4 gray FRN plain edge....
My baby:
Strider SMF Marsoc!!! for the person who tries to mug me, ouch! My wallet says the same thing..
But it's my baby...

I recently became a fan of the Kershaw Leek. I like the slim, non-pocket-hogging profile.

Boker Trance or Hyper.

Basically anything CLB puts together fights for my pocket :) . Shame we haven't seen more collabs.

Folder: Para-1 - Non-Spydie: MicroTech Makora II, OTF Auto.

Fixed: Busse SH-E (Steel Heart-Ergo), Busse BJ (Busse Old School Series {BOSS} Jack - get your mind out of the gutter!) :p :D .

I have no fixed :spyder: 's.

EDIT: I forgot about my Fallkniven A2, fixed, that has seen a lot of use! I used to carry and use an SMF, Strider pretty often too, but that one is gone now. In all honesty, my Busse SH-E hasn't seen much work nor has my Makora II, but those two are the ones that I carry if I don't have a Spydie on me, usually a Para-1 or 2 or my Chinook II, CE (which has seen a bit of use), which is pretty much never!
