Are they all gone, or are there any more to be released?

Interesting question.

Right now, there are only 3 (SE!) left on the Spyderco online shop site, PE all gone.

I think they are gone. I had one of each ordered for several weeks and they never came in, so I canceled my order.

... and now the remaining 3 SE Matriarches are sold, too. "Out of stock" is the info; who knows if there will be some more put on the site in the next days...

It is described by Spyderco as a sprint run rather than a limited production model. Once a sprint is over, well, that's usually it. Whether or not there will be some still to appear in primary market retail, who knows? Depends on who gets what and when.

I think its POSSIBLE some retailers have yet to receive their stock, but highly unlikely at this point in the game. Chances are, since it was just a sprint run, just the big boys in retailing got them, and I'm assuming most these retailers are also online dealers, and have probabaly been cleaned out.

There are still 8 of each PE and SE left up in Canada for sale, unfortunately, the retailer DOES NOT ship to the USA, though, if you give him a call (Jay, at Warriors and Wonders) and say Isaak from Montreal referred you, he MIGHT make an exception...though don't be surprised if he declines.

I know sprints are supposed to sell out but it seems that they could have made quite a lot more of these
My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades :)

Figuring out a run size that's small enough that it doesn't result in lots of unsold knives sitting on the shelves yet big enough to let most people who want one do so is art. Lately Spyderco seems to have been erring on the smaller side compared to a year or two ago... you can still find sprints like the FG J.D. Smith in stock at a few places, for example.

It's a pity because I think by the time some people over here hear about a Sprint run they have sold out ... and dealers over here probably don't get their hands on many. :(

He did ship to u.s. at one point, so there must be a good reason he quit doing it.

Has it always said on the website that they do not ship to the U.S.? I don't remember..

I ordered from WW a year or so ago, had to call it in. They are in my top 3 for friendliest and best service. It would be a real shame if they no longer ship to the states.

Logistics I assume.
For us, he can just put the knives in an Xpresspost envelope which are pre-purchased and then drop 'm in a mail-box.

Shipping to the US requires he take every order to the post office. From what I understand, hes pretty swamped with just Canadian orders all day.

Jay's a great guy, just really busy these days it seems.
And no, he allowed US orders before.
