How Many CF Manix 2 were made?

#1

Post by mikerestivo »

I cannot recall if the CF Manix 2, S90V, was a 400, 500, or 600 piece run. Does anyone recall?

I believe that is correct it. It was one of the shorter runs I've seen in a while. Wasn't the CF/S90V Military a much larger run?

One per pocket, and one more as a neck knife? :D

It is a close run between the Blue and the CF Manix 2s. In the end, I think CF wins.

The way I see it (ymmv), it's about the steel, and the S90V wins - but having both is even better. Recent issues notwithstanding, I think the Manix 2 is an awesome platform and there have been some great sprints.

I would agree. I've got 'em both and I prefer the CF, but the blue is pretty cool, too.

In terms of sheer coolness, it's the CF S90V hands down. The steel definitely makes it the winner. I just appen to like the look of the blue and the FFG blade.

The blue is very nice, no question. Probably more attractive than the carbon fiber but that's a totally personal opinion - no right/wrong answer. I also really like the forest green G10. The peelply CF + S90V is a nice match with the similar version of the Military, though - very appropriate.

Having posted as I did above, I do want to come back and say that IMNSHO the regular 154CM/G10 version is one of two great bargains in the Spyderco lineup right now when you consider its street price. The other is the Gayle Bradley folder.

I agree 2,4,5,19 you can never have to many of one knife. I like two of everything I can. I bet there will be another type of CF Manix out in the next year, the sprints sold out so fast. I like the CF the best I think, the blue and green are very cool, How about a Nishigun carbon fiber carpenter steel, OH YEA!!!

One could argue a need for two of each knife: one for each hand. Not so sure about five - one for each hand, one for each foot, and one between the teeth?
