I think that if you made a FRN Dragonfly with a metal clip vs the intergral one, it would be a best seller. I currently use a FRN dragonfly from time to time and it never stayed clipped to me like my other spydies. In my opinion the g10 version in too heavy and expensive. I think making an FRN dragonfly (No liners) with a metal pocket clip and jimping would just perfect, I hope to see this in the future.

IIRC, Sal has said the FRN Dragonfly will be updated, so that's just a matter of time. However unless they go the route they took with the FRN UKPK, it most likely will have nested liners like most of the other recent FRN models to facilitate clip mounting.
I think you'd have to have someone like Brad make the changes for you. Our new model is tip up wire clip only. Both left and right are possible, but there is still some sticking out of the pocket.
The final pieces will be one piece FRN, bi-directional texture, left / right tip up wire clip. Full flat grind on VG-10. We'll probably make some colors as out customers request.
So they will stay true to the lightweight in the "Dragonfly2". Awesome to hear that!
Also Sal might have mentioned something about adding a H1 Dragonfly2 to the Salt line-up.
Can't wait for the new dragonfly! The only thing that kept me from buying the current model was the one-piece clip. Tip-down wire clip would be perfect for this simple but amazingly useful and ergonomic little folder.
Don't care about the colors really, I've learned to like pretty much any frigging color if it's on a Spyderco. :D
I used to kinda hate blue, now my Blue Delica4 sees quite a bit of pocket time. :D
I've been using my AUS 8 serrated Dragonfly at work lately. Last night I had to break down quite a few boxes. Actually I had to cut off the flaps so they could be accessed from the shelves. Cutting off about 30 flaps it's still sharp. :)
I say that to say this: What a great design! It's easy to under appreciate the simple ones but the design is solid. With a few tweaks and VG10 I'll be in love.
