Are all the White Sprint runs gone?

#1

Post by RIOT »

Ive noticed on ebay and other sites that finally the White Sprint run Delica, Endura, Dragonfly & Ladybugs are almost gone on the selling market.

I wonder if all the people dying these knives or using these have already depleted the market.

I did a search on ebay the other day and out of all 4 knives i only found 2 white Ladybugs. i was kind of expecting this a little bit when people starting dying them all. Not sure of how many people are using them though?

I dont use mine because of the rarity but out of all the D4s the White one is my favorite < ****** part is how dirty it probably gets.

I bought several to warehouse for future dye projects. I cleaned out a couple of dealers (who only had one or two each) so I'm not surprised they're hard to find.

White Dragonfly came out in June of 2008, the other three in April of that year. All four were Sprint Runs. The dye jobs may have accounted for a few of each, but even without that I wouldn't find it terribly surprising that they're scarce, even on eBay, two years later.

Of all the colored (or lack of color) variants that have come out recently, it was the white ones I was most interested in. I'm just sorry I missed the oppurtunity to pick one or more up.

They're still out there if you look reeeaaally hard.

Oh, and they do get dirty. I carried a white Dragonfly for a while and it was filthy within a couple of weeks.

i really would love to carry a white Delica, but the factor of it being rare and it getting dirty very fast stops me from carrying one. wish they were more common and id have a white D4 on my pocket right now

When I first got my white endura(dyed now) I edc'ed it around the house. Just from being in the garage with me for a few hours it needed to be cleaned. Was good as new afterward but still....

I would love to get a white delica some time.

I just sold my 3 white knives (Endura/Delica/Ladybug) on a forum and practically had to give them away. If I told you what I sold them for you would cry.

The secondary knife market SUCKS right now (from a seller's perspective).

Is bladematrix.tv a reliable site? I've never heard of them, does anyone have experience with them? They have an F rating with the BBB, that's not good.

I've done business with BladeMatrix for many years without complaint. They brought in "garden" Opinels at a reasonable price for me when on one else in the USA carried them.

I put 4 white ladybugs into my cart but five would not go into the cart due to limited stock. I took the four out of the cart seconds before posting here yesterday. Perhaps someone was quicker and bot them out from under you...

Never dealt with them, so I can't comment on them. However, given what you said, perhaps their software does not return items to stock instantly when the "lock" (someone having it in their cart) is removed. I've seen that happen before with other vendors.

I checked "my cart" a moment ago and it shows zero quantity.

So I tried to load 4 units and it allowed me. The fifth wouldn't go due to low stock. I emptied my cart before I left the site.

You might try a phone call to BM.

I bought a white delica a few months ago to round out my crayola pallette. Paid a bunch for it. I wonder if there are more collectors out there who found the white delica and endura more compelling once the additional colors were released?
