Which knives do you carry?
I guess this is a pole, but I was just wondering what knives everyone carries. Why do you like them.
I have a pretty vast collection and am now just starting to get into Spyderco's. I have BM's, Microtech's, Emerson's, Delta-Z's, Boker's, etc...
I think my BM's though are the best as far as smooth action and durability. What do you all think. Also tell me more about Spyderco knives as I'm pretty uneducated about them. I'm just waiting for mine to come in the mail, so I can start learning.
thanks

I carry the FRN Spyderco Native plain edge for my every day carry. I used to carry the Delica. I have a few other brands of knives, but I have not found anything I like more than my Spydercos. I have 7 of them now and one on the way. I like the Native because it is large enough for any cutting task I come by on a normal day and it is very comfortable. I think the round Spyder hole is the easiest, most fail-proof, and most comfortable one-hand opening feature on any non-auto folding knife. Of course that may be just because that is what I am used to.
Which <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> do you have on order? I think once you get it you will be hooked. Enjoy your <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> and welcome to the forum.
Mark.

I ordered the Howard Viele, VG-10, Micarta Handle....It looks pretty neat and I like the properties of the Steel but I will be VERY impressed if the action even comes near to my BM Ares Axis Lock. Those Axis Locks are the best. But I'm staying objective until it comes and I get to try it out....I figure every now and then I have to broaden my taste and knife-brand line, if you will.

I have handled the BM Osbourne(sp?), and didn't really like the axis lock. It took a chunk out of my finger first try.
I myself carry a wide variety of <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>...
C08PBK Merlin PlainEdge
C36GPSE Military 50/50
C41PSBK Native 35/65
C52PBK Calypso Jr Lightweight PlainEdge
I have also carried a c11PBK Delica, c28 Dragonfly PlainEdge, Wegner jr combo edge, Spydercard PE, and 2 ladybugs...
EDIT: supper...
I have carried other brands as well. My opinions are not totally one sided. Cold Steel ReadyEdge, SwissTech UtiliKey, CRKT BearClaw, MT LCC D/A, Meula skinner...

SoCalSpyder,
Welcome to the Spydie forum!! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
I have carried(at least once) a Delica, Endura, Ladybug, Cricket, Meerkat, Pegasus, Police, Vesuvius, Jester, Shabaria, Toad, Starmate, Mouse, and a Chinese Folder. Not all at once, just over the years. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Seems like I forgot something...oh well.

Welcome to the <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> forum, SoCalSpyder!!
I carry only Spydies <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, looked at a few BMs and none of them caught my eye. I guess you could say that I'm an addict of the Spyder, my collection so far consists of 12 with one on order and one on the way. IMO, no one out there beats Spyderco in ergonomic design, customer service, and blade sharpness out of the box. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
My <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> work EDCs consist of:
Military PE
Endura SE(or Native 35/65)
Spydercard 50/50 in wallet
Jester SE on keychain
Non-work EDC carry varies at times between:
Military PE
Lum Chinese PE
LtWt. Calypso Jr. PE
Calypso PE
with Spydercard 50/50 in wallet
Jester SE on keychain
Survive, Adapt, and Overcome...

It depends alot on my mood , but usually always carry the FRN Delica PE and for heavier tasks a SS Endura PE AUS-8 variety. I try to include 1 SE of some sort, if out on the town a Lum chinese green, if at work a FRN Native 65-35 in GIN-1 sometimes i carry a small neck knife called the neck Peck from CRKT..Ron
