Mule Teams (52100) back

#302

Post by A-Knife »

Yesterday I got my Mule Teams back. I was away on a business trip but today I was able to admire the work Tom Krein has done on them.
They look really cool and are exactly as I imagined them to be.
Tomorrow I'll post some pictures.

BTW, Tom finished and shipped them very fast, but they got stuck at customs for 14 days! Cost me an addtional € 22,38 but anyway, glad to have them back.

Cheers,
André

My Mules back

#304

Post by A-Knife »

Well, here they are. First photographs made with my PDA. I'll make some more in daylight using a "real" camera.

The second one.

I am going to have someone make a real nice sheath for them. At first I was thinking about a Kydex sheath, but my son said I should make it a leather one, Indian style. Examples are welcome BTW.

Cheers,
André

In true Spyderco fashion, get both. The brown one would look nice in leather. The gray one would look good in kydex.

Thanks for the tip. Btw, the gray one is antique white paper micarta with red liners.
But I will get some better pictures.

I got the same scale as you but mine are mounted on a S90V Mule Team MT03P.
Nice color Orange!... i've got earth brown & black one too (got two other MT03P).
Did the screw head are trox 8 or 10?

T8.

I like the Orange too, but I switch scales, now the Orange is on an M4 Mule. And the Coyote is on one of my S90V Mules.

Here is mine. .125 sheet aluminum, a few files, sandpaper, a few drill bits, taps, countersink, and a little time. ;) purchased stainless hardware at the local hardware store. Made the sheath myself.

And, the image I always enjoy, showing all the different varieties, and demostrating all the colors... With my cord wrapped Mule thrown in, like a beefy arm, for good measure. From the top, Strider Cord Wrap, Pink, Orange, Coyote Brown, Ranger Green, Grey, Earth Brown, and Black...

I love it. "Ethnic Mule," is what comes to mind. Very cool look.
