I didn't realize you were serious about a pink Manix and then I see one for sale. That could ruin a good collection in my opinion.JNewell wrote:Ya gotta be getting one of the pink ones!

Where'd you see this pink Manix 2? I'm curious to know what pricing is gonna be.SteelDragon wrote:I didn't realize you were serious about a pink Manix and then I see one for sale.
Sal had mentioned they were coming out and then some guy posted in the new release forum that his company had commissioned them and were looking for dealers to sell them to (post has since been deleted since selling isn't allowed on the forums).

Thanks. I had looked there for a "Manix 2" and didn't see any. Key was to search for "Manix II" instead. Even though only 500 were made, I can't help but wonder if people are starting to get Manix 2 burnout. First was the CF/S90V, then the blue Manix, then the Carpenter foliage green, and now pink. Seems to me that the green ones are still relatively easy to find and at decent prices, despite also being pretty limited and using a new super steel. And I just can't seem to get excited about this new one. Maybe I'm the only one feeling like we're getting too much of a good thing...SteelDragon wrote:The one I saw was on fleabay with a buy it now of $88, no pictures. 10 available so thats none for me and 10 for whomever
I don't really need a pink version. Heck, I'm not sure I'd even want it except for the joy of laughing out loud when some guy calls the pink Manix a "girly knife". I'm even less inclined to purchase it since (as far as I know) none of the profit is donated to the Breast Cancer Network of Strength, as is the case with the pink Native. It's not even one I would consider for my mom or sister, as the Manix 2 is a bit big and heavy for them. Really, it just seems like an odd choice of a knife to get the pink treatment.

No flaming here. I agree with you. Its a solid steel and for the price, you cant beat it!JNewell wrote:I'll probably get flamed :D but the standard HG 154CM blade takes and holds a good edge and is a strong cutter.
I was surprised by the price.

I am not 100% sure, but I don't think so.grg wrote:I just received a new large manix, and it has the old dinosaur jimping,my first with this style jimping.Did the early mini manix have the same style jimping. All of the ones I have are of the newer fine.
Much prefer the larger jimping. Didn't know it's referred to as dinosaur?
But I do like it much much better. traded away a later Stretch 2 and Green Lg Manix as I prefer the larger jimping.

I don't think they are any harder to find then the non-dinosaur, not sure of the production numbers but I bought a couple users recently and both were the larger jimping. And of course now there is a pink one out and pre order for the black blade so your Manix Mania continues :DLorenzoL wrote:OK, now I need to go find me a dinosaur. Thanks, guys...
You do have a great collection of Manix's going there!
