Whatever sort of fierce appliance the Manix is, I agree that it is in a different class than the others.
I carried a Native for a while, loved the ergonomics, but didn't like the thick blade. My wife now has it. Looking forward to the FFG Native 4.
I carried a Sage CF for a while, a terrific knife, flawless build quality, my favorite lock ever, great textured handle. But it was just a little too bulky for my work clothes (I work in an office): it would never "disappear", I always knew it was there. Also, I prefer a blade profile a little more pointed and corresponding handle profile a little thinner, and the Sage blade is pretty fat.
I carried a Caly3 CF for a while, terrific ergonomics and did I mention my preference for the wire clip? This is the most gentlemanly of the bunch, but for that use I really prefer the Walker CF.
On a whim, I bought a G10 UKPK, which has the same form as the Caly3, and is quite a bit lighter. This is what I carry now - I really like the slipit much better than I thought I would, after years of carrying lockers - and the lighter weight is a plus, too.
The type of steel has not really been an issue in this thread, but I have come to prefer S30V to ZDP-189 for EDC, although it would be hard to explain why. Just sort of feels better. So I guess that's a vote for the Sage.
