Fully tricked Swick2

#1

Post by 2cha »

Finally put scales on a swick2. Went with thicker scales because I wanted to see how it felt with a large area cupped into my palm when holding like a pistol. Feels great. Took a couple "shots" at a phone book--no discomfort whatsoever (to me, can't say as much for the book :D ).

Nice job contouring the scales! That takes a good bit of extra time and effort to get them matched up.

That looks great. I got one too but haven't to put scales on yet. What size pins did you use? Do you do kydex or can you recommend someone? Again, That looks really good.

Welcome farmer Steve. Glad you like them. For the pins, I used 3/16 x 1/4 corby rivets. The here are a couple threads where several forumites who do kydex are discussed. However, if you are a little handy, and have basic tools, it's a breeze to do kydex yourself. The sheath above was my third. I find scales tougher to do, especially with a tang like the Swick's that has so many radii.
