WHAT! My Cat is one of my favorite knives, it's the perfect size and has great ergos. I can't believe it's gone already! I hope they figure out a way to bring it back soon, this design is too good to give up on. :(

That would be too bad - my Cat is great bang for the buck and it's an awesome EDC; just ordered a second one from NGK, anyway - just in case since even on Spyderco website it's out of stock.

Where?

Not here and not on their Facebook page.

I recommend that nobody overreact until either Sal or Kristi can confirm this.

This sounds a little fishy to me.

i cant seem to find them on any of the sites i usually order from. and the spyderco page says they are out of stock...sounds realistic to me. but nothing is official till you hear it from someone at spyderco.

April Fools was a week ago...

Sure, they're out of stock everywhere, but when haven't they been? The factory not being able to make 'em fast enough to keep up with demand seems more likely, especially given the lack of any sort of citation or source beyond a vague reference to a 'special announcement' that nobody else has seen. In the absence of anything official...

Glad I picked up a Cat. It's a nice little knife. Certainly not on my All-Time Favorites list but still a great value.

I always trust secret "Spyderco Special Announcement"s that have no source.
