I'll like to incorporate some diamonds into my final finishing and don't know which would be a better idea.
The Duckfoot seems like a cool concept and would give my sharpening a little more portability but the rods probably have more surface area and would last longer.
What do you guys think?
DuckFoot sharpener or diamond rods for the Sharpmaker?

I've been quite impressed with the sharpening results I've gotten from using the Spyderco Sharpmaker and its Diamond Triangle Stones. There've been times when I needed the courseness of the Diamond Triangle Stones just to get an edge started. Once I get that edge going, I simply switch to the Gray then White Triangle Stones to finish sharpening the blade.
Adding the Diamond Triangle Stones to your Sharpmaker set up would increase its versatility quite nicely.

I have the Duckfoot as part of my hunting/hiking gear. For general use, I have been very pleased with the Diamond rods made for the Sharpmaker. If you are only going to get one product, I would suggest the 204D rods.

Gentlemen,
Could someone here explain to me what this "Duckfoot" is? Is this a Spyderco product? Thanks for any help here.
Basically, what I'm trying to do, is to figure out what ALL sharpening products/accessories does Spyderco make?
I know they make the following:
-204 Sharpmaker (comes with med grey and also white ceramic rods)
-Diamond stones for use with 204 Sharpmaker
-ULTRA FINE ceramic rods, for use with 204
-701 Reprofile Kit? I can't recall if this is correct, but I know I've heard of a "701" kit, and I could use some help in determining what this is, and if it's indeed a Spyderco product made for use with the 204???
-Anything else guys? Are there any other 204 Sharpmaker accessories that exist, or other Spyderco sharpening accessories, which I have not mentioned??? I think the UF rods and the Diamond rods, are the ONLY extra available rods in existence, for use with the 204, right? (or wrong?)
Thanks for any help guys.
Technically, the Duckfoot is in the Byrd line, which is Spyderco's more economical line.razorhunter wrote: Could someone here explain to me what this "Duckfoot" is? Is this a Spyderco product? Thanks for any help here.

I also have the ceramic file set 400F (four ceramic rods, round or with different angled edges, compact but good for touchups.
I have yet to find an online retailer that carries their "Golden Stone" in stock, I think it was a ceramic piece with similar features to the DuckFoot - someone on here was able to pick one up for a steal at the factory 2nds sale last year. I think their 307F Slip Stone looks interesting too, very compact to slip into a pocket, has rounded corners for touching up the scallops on serrated blades.
