I have quite a few, some of my favorites are:
The Peak Matterhorn (similar to the fenix e01) that hangs out on my keys,
The Nitecore EX-10 that I typically clip to my coin pocket,
A Surefire KL4 with a emitter swap that clips to the top of the pocket,
An Electrolumens DeCree XP-G loose in the pocket.
And a few customs for special occasions.
Not all at once, of course. The Matterhorn is always on me while the others rotate.

Ah, I see some CPF fellows around here!
Each and every one of my Spydies has a flashlight companion. Over half are Surefires, a few Nitecores, and a couple oddballs. The Millies get 2x123 Surefires, the rest of the bunch goes with 1x123 lights.
On my RFP today is a Chinook II, and over at the LFP is an Ra Clicky Tactical 140.
The only pairless flashlight is a Muyshondt Mako (Ti, AAA) on the keyring, my backup light. An Atwood Ti Flat Keyton keeps it company there.

You can't go wrong with anything from 4sevens they are great I carry my Mini 123 over my surefires even. However its nice to have the surefires when I am going deep into the woods or something like that.D1omedes wrote:Has anyone used the 4Seven's Preon 2? Ooooooooh I like this thread :D

In my pocket is my Ra Clicky 170T

In my EDC bag is always my Surefire LX2, Surefire Minimus and Maratac AA and if I'm in the mood a Surefire with a Malkoff dropin (M60WLL is my favorite)

I absolutely agree w the above - I have really come to love my Mini 123. So much so that I keep it on my keys in addition to my Arc AAA:ssmtbracer wrote:You can't go wrong with anything from 4sevens they are great I carry my Mini 123 over my surefires even. Lights that serve under me.
SF L1 or now my new LX2 back pocket. CR2 Aeon, or AAA Ti. Photon Fanatic Killer dropped in front pocket.
Key Ring carry is a Photon Micro Light or an Arc AAA.
Also, I have been wearing a Photon Fanatic La Petite on my neck.
When the SF LX1 comes out, that will bump the LX2 to another assignment.
If it is a special occasion, I may take my SF Ti Titan.

I've got one. It's pretty neat, but to be honest I rarely carry it. Makes an excellent pen light though, tons brighter than say a streamlight stylus.D1omedes wrote:Has anyone used the 4Seven's Preon 2? I'm interested in a light for my EDC and am considering this model.

It has a reverse clicky (can also be setup like a twisty), so it clicks on in low and then you tap the tail to ramp up the brightness, there's also strobe/sos at the end I believe.
It's a great light, but it just looks a bit funky when it sticks out above the shirt pocket, so I never carry it. I've been thinking about getting a 2xAAA peak Eiger with tailswitch just because it has a more industrial look to it.

I have a Fenix LD01 stainless on my keychain, and a Nightcore D10 loose in pocket, and usually a Zebralight H50 in a jacket pocket, and an Eagletac P100A2 in the backpack I take to work, and a Quark Mini 123 in my laptop bag, and a few other lights scattered here and there...

So true. No one gets my thing for flashlights either. Fortunately, I really have time to devote to one forum and this one is it. I tried hanging over at CPF, but found that I didnt have time to do it justice, so only go there to get advice on my next light.yowzer wrote:Flashlights are just as bad as knives.

where i live, flashlights are an absolute must in winter.
i carry a nitecore D10 because it's so incredibly small, versatile, and easy to carry... best light i've ever owned.
also keep a fenix E01 handy, as a back-up / emergency light. i throw it into my small bag when hiking during the day, just in case something would happen, and i'd find myself stranded past daylight... it's so tiny and ultra-light...

I guess that Alaska is the place to be if you love flashlights!clovisc wrote:where i live, flashlights are an absolute must in winter.

And knives!
I've got one in black. Bought it as a kit that includes both AAA and 2AAA bodies, along with both types of tailcaps. The reverse-clickie is fine except for the fact that the tailcap cover rotates around in place. A bit annoying since it gives an otherwise quality light a cheap feeling. Got to be annoying enough that I swapped out the clickie tailcap for the flat solid one instead. Works great as a twistie light, especially on the 2AAA body. (I wanted the extra output on high mode.)D1omedes wrote:Has anyone used the 4Seven's Preon 2? I'm interested in a light for my EDC and am considering this model.

Perfect for carrying in a back-pocket. As a twistie, no need to worry about sitting down and accidentally clicking the light on.
Not sure, but I believe that single Preon models are sold only with the clickie on the 2AAA versions; while the AAA models are sold as twisties.

Nope! Not out of business. They are still made and still sold online. But 4Sevens stopped carrying the Nitecore line due to apparently quality & shipping issues. (Keep in mind, I'm not saying that. That's just the official reason why they stopped carrying the line.)D1omedes wrote:Thanks for the reply, Monocrom and RyanA.
I've heard a lot of great things about Nitecore products but I can't see to find any retailers who still carry them. Have they gone out of business? If not, where could pick one up?
If you want one, check out this online shop, first:
http://flashlightconnection.com/NiteCor ... ights-c26/
Or, if you want a model not available there; check out the online shop below:
http://www.tacticalleds.com/NiteCore-ED ... s-s/97.htm
In the first link, the owner of the shop is a good aquaintence of mine. If anything goes wrong, Jay will fix it period! He's just a great guy to deal with.
As for the 2nd link. Never bought from them before. But they do seem to carry a good selection of Nitecore models.
