I can't wait for the super-leaf.

But my wallet hasn't caught up to last year yet, I might have to sell a kidney to make sure I get all these sprint runs! :D

The blue Manix that will be coming with the flat ground S30V blade and skeletonized liners that greatly reduce the weight.

An extra large Lum Chinese folder with a “peel ply” carbon fiber handle which has a very smooth finish and VG10 steel blades.

& 2 Brown Matriarch's. 1 ea.

Great news.
Thats 6 so far......

Anyone know if the Matriarch is based on the E3 or E4 handle? I'm hoping for E4 and a reasonable price. If so, Christmas shopping will be done in one fell swoop for family members.

I am going to assume it is on the E3 handle, but that is just an assumption as that is what the original was based on.

I'm really excited for the Superhawk Leaf. I'm a little bummed there wasn't any news of the Lil' Temp 2, though.

I believe what they're calling red is something more like burgundy (ala ZDP Caly Jr & Goddard sprints), as red red is reserved for trainers.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

Looks like the Blue Manix 2 will have skeletonized liners.
I will likely take a pass then. Like the blue G10 but the light weight of the S90V/CF model made it feel too light for my tastes. I actually prefer the heft of the "regular" Manix 2.

That and as much as the forum in general seems to be bonkers for full flat grinds, I think the hollow grind is more appropriate for a stout user like the Manix 2. I've never understood why sheer slicing ability is valued over all-around versatility and strength.

Well I just couldn't resist any longer and just pre-ordered the Blue Manix from the Cutlery Shoppe. Looking forward to purchasing some of the other sprint runs this coming year!

Sal was talking over on USN and said the E4 handle would make it too expensive as they would have to redesign it.

E3 will work nice though. Cheap and light is a good combo :)

Since I learned the difference between a knife and a crowbar, I've wondered why makers still use saber grind. ;)
Full flat for general use, full hollow for light duty, saber for paperweight. Just my opinion, YMMV.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.
