Gunting Deals?
Gunting Deals?
Does anyone know of a place which has a deal for buying both the Gunting trainer and live blade at the same time?

TM,
Somebody just picked up the live Gunting on e-bay for about $60, used.
However, the best deal I've seen, bar none, is our own Lady Glasshartt. Just bought both for around $200. Give her an e-mail at GlassHartt@aol.com. Tell her ATE and java sent ya!

Dialex!!! Tommarker!!!!
Yow!!!! You forced me to break my silence!
<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>PLEASE! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EVER ATTEMPT TO OPEN THE GUNTING ON YOUR THIGH<img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>!!!!
Thighs are thick and as you pull the ramp through, the point will dig into clothing and flesh leaving you with having to explain to the medical crew how you managed to get such a clean edged incision there. Practice with the DRONE on your wrist, forearm, or hand as Bram recommends. One of the things Bram stresses is NOT getting yourself close enough to the BG to even consider having to try a kinetic opening on his thigh so why practice it on yourself. If you're that close, you run the risk of getting hurt. The Gunting is a remarkable knife - even more important, is that it has been well thought out as a martial arts tool and gives you several non-lethal options.
Be aware that the non-lethal aspect does not mean the drone or the closed Live G cannot hurt you. During practice, I allowed Java the Younger to tomahawk me with the ramp on my forearm, perhaps a little too zealously. I now have a 1 cm X 1 cm hole in my arm and a profound respect for the abilities of the G in either form. The Gunting has many fangs! Praise be to the Gunting!
Tommarker,
Get with Linda about getting the Gunting tape and practice, practice, practice. Also check out this site: www.Gunting-Museum.com

Java is alive! Sweet mother of Jefferson Davis! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
Where ya' been, man? It gets powerful lonely around here without a good laugh or two. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> We need you!
Yeah guys, this Gunting kinetic-opening horror stories are the real thing...(I'm the King of Hurt-Yourself, don't forget!<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) Fortunately, I haven't had the chance to experience the Gunting do its thing. However, I was talking to a knife-seller friend of mine, and he told me to two guys that worked for him that almost wacked their legs open whilst attempting to open the Gunting. One fella had on Reebok running pants, and boy did that blade sing through that nylon like a hot steak knife through butter. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> So be careful, lads....I doan' want to have to come over and patch ye up!
Cheers!

Dialex,
Disinformation can be a good thing - kind of thins the herd from time to time. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I figured you were making a joke but we've seen enough hoseplay with knives turn an interesting shade of red. Not all who read posts on an open Forum (and I'm not talking devoted <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>fans, although I could be when it comes to Mike <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>} have the knife savy of the Spydie true-believer and even we have accidents. Whatever happened to the girl who tested the edges of knives by running them across her tongue?? Wonder if she's now verbally (orally?) challenged??! Yikes, I shuddered when I read that one!!
No doubt the Gunting is beguiling and will git ya if'n you don't show 'er the proper respect. I was impressed when Java the Younger bit me with the Drone - All hail Bram's Brainstorm! Blessed be the G-drone among trainers, for thou hast wickedly sharp non-pointy teeth. Take care in thy tapis! Amen.
Good to hear from you my creative Romanian Brother! Hope you and yours are well! Hey we came close to neck-and-neck at post 400!! Post on my brother!! Post on!!

She now speaks with forked tongue <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
(Sorry, I couldn't resist - well, I could, but didn't really want to <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> )

4 s ter,
LOL! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I read about the not so sharp young lady here on the Forum about 6 months back but can't find the thread. Forum search on "tongue" yielded about all the last 2 years threads - Evil Web Master is at it again!
Dialex,
Looking forward to it! Hope to see some of your babies in production soemday. Hang in there and "Hello to A-M". I think she'd like the hypothetical Pink Double Civie SE Glasshartt Specials too. Maybe an artist's rendering with the bunnies and puppies is needed here <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
