The orange G-10 mule is now finished! I want to thank Tom Krein for his advice on finishing the G-10. I added my own little special touch to it. The pins are black micarta, and it has a black liner!

Thank you!
It's birdseye maple. Even better in person cause the wood just dances

That is an amazing looking knife and sheath. Any chance you could let us in on how you got the texturing on the ebony?

I just looked through this thread for the first time and I am amazed! There is a lot of talent on display here!

Is everyone on the Spyderco forum a knife maker?

I am getting my first Mule soon and wanted ideas for handles. I thought this thread would show me an option or two that I would like but I like almost all of them! Really good work you guys.

There are about 20 that I like so much I would really want but I don't have the talent to make them. The two layer G-10 is cool, the canvas micarta is always a good option. I think I am leaning toward G-10 or some kind of high tec handle with a kydex sheath.

Thanks :) I traced it on and then used a wood burning tool to go over it.

I posted a couple with handles from Halpern Titanium, and if you go with that option, I have the handles, so I can make a sheath for you, and you won't have to ship your knife to me...

If you are looking for more Mule goodness...

Check out my blog about them.... http://muleprojects.blogspot.com/

Or, if you have specific questions, feel free to email me...

Best,

Honestly, you might want to figure it out this weekend, because I predict stock of handles, if you are going to buy some from Halpern Titanium, will drop rapidly once guys have knives in their hands.

I saw the knife is for sale for $ 430,--, but are the handles and sheath for sale separately? I did not find it on the site. Really marvellous job BTW.
