It could not have been better. I'm ready to book my flight for next year. Too many highlights to list. The Security Expo, the seminar, training in the park, our hosts, the food, the beach....to name a few. What am I doing back in Canada???
Bram you got me so excited with the stick and dagger. Steve handed me a set of sticks when we got back, and It looks like I'll be training through Shishir's school here in Vancouver. By the way he says hello!
Thanks to everyone.

"UN-PC"...*snicker* But there ain't no rules in a knife fight! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> How can anything be PC when you're fighting someone? <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

PC-UNPC are just a touch away from each other..
and theres always several ways to view how you deal with a situation..
sometimes one demos UNPC stuff..
because one has no "caring nor concern" for legal repurcussions and in Israel right now..the bad guys deserve what they get..PERIOD..kill terrorists BEFORE they kill you..or other innocents..
not the case here or in some other countries where self defense actions can be viewed as blatant stupidity or revenge or agressive actions which can land us in jail..
gads what a strange world..
in trouble for defending ones life!
but that PC and UNPC..
Bio mechanical cutting MBC, is PC..Old flipino is not...
ROFL..

yes..I had to come edit my poor grammer and spelling...

I have to dedicate the Commandments of Steel to James..without James and the Riddle to aim for..to try to equal or at least place near its famed greatness there would be no Commandments..Thank you Master @ Arms James Keating and all those wonderfully entertaining & educational Riddles of yours..
I hope we can continue the fine tradition that you've set for us..

The Commandments are for real..
The Holy land..
The Middle East...
Conflict..
excitement..
and real deal Knife counter knife..

I look forward to next years Commandments..
Maybe Gladius work a bit...

Wow, wow, wow. It was the trip of a lifetime to be sure (until next year). Bram was well received everywhere we went. The Israelis were very attentive. They truly believed that what they were learning might one day save their, or a loved one's, life.

All types of people showed up for the Commandments. Old, young, men women. Civilians, soldiers, instructors, players. It was a very good mix. Going around the room to the different pairs you might at one stop be dealing with a housewife and her daughter, the next stop two serious players in the anti-terrorist efforts, then two older men who probably have fought in 3 or 4 wars and still eagerly prepare for the next possible one. The Israelis are serious people and they are survivors, my hat is off to them. They were very thankful that we, the Americans, English and Canadians, would come to their country in these troubled times, but for my part I'll say I never felt there was any measureable danger.

Tel Aviv is one of the most pleasant cities I have ever visited. The people are very friendly, intelligent and helpful. Everyone speaks English which makes it easy for Americans, but hard for the English, we're not sure what they speak!?!. The food is wonderful, oh yes and plentiful too. The cost if very reasonable for everything; five shekels to the dollar.

We had an incredible trip. No one does knife like Bram. Start saving your shekels now for June 2003, you DON'T want to miss next year.

I echo Bram's sentiment. Thanks Jim, you are the progenitor of this type of event. May the Riddle be back soon, and stronger then ever.

As I posted elsewhere:

A big thank-you to Guy and Yuval for being such incredible hosts. Gadi also gets a big thanks for an awesome BBQ and allowing us to bang on him for a couple of days. You're a pretty cool guy....for a lawyer.

What an honor to train in Dr. Hanovers dojo with such serious students.

Sun, sand, surf, good friends, great food, good training, custom knives, historical landmarks galore and babes walking around with class 3 weapons. How can you beat that? Ed and I are already planning for next years Commandments.

Guy, checking out all your custom steel made missing the Blade show bearable. We get to go through the gun collection next year, right?

Bram, as always, thanks tons. We'll see you soon. I'll email you in a bit.

<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Girls in OD green are still catching my eye, and I actually miss having coffee with a handfull of dirt in the bottom of the glass. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

I think we'll have more Canucks coming next year.
