After getting one in a trade a while back I EDC'ed one for about a month. I personally never had any doubts about the strength of my magnet. It always seemed to lock up tight when opened or closed. Though I will agree with the Deacon in the respect that once it's disengaged, it does swing very freely. I also liked the texture of the carbon fiber as well, smooth but a little grip too. Loved the S30V of course. Even with all this said, this model did feel a bit like a novelty and I couldn't see ever EDC'ing it over my Caly or even a Sage.
