The Micra is great. I am on my 2nd, having snapped the eyeglass screwdriver on the 1st while idiotically trying to pry a door open. I had the 2nd within 2 days. I tried a SAK classic for a while but went back to the Micra. The small weight difference is more than made up for by all the tools.

Right now it looks like this.

Image
The Fallkniven U-2, and ZDP Caly 3 are both heavily re-ground, the "back bevel" is now the primary grind. The U-2 in particular was the center of a lot of experimentation with thin edges, the blade as a whole is 0.035" at it's thickest, and about 0.01" at 1/8" back from the edge, decreasing pretty smoothly into nothing from there. I still have to sharpen at ten degrees per side though, the edge doesn't hold up very well below that.
The Cricket and S90V Military are both stock.

Four knives, a little redundant? Maybe...
I used to carry a Maxpedition waist-pack with a Leatherman, cell phone, SAK, lighter and pen, but my hips are finicky for some reason and get extremely sore with too much constant pressure.

I'd still like to have all the other stuff all the time, so I'll probably find some way of carrying it eventually.

I used to carry all sorts of junk around in my pockets and book bag when I was in college. Now, I only carry keys and pocket knives (Para and Native) consistently. I'll will usually have my audio-book playing MP3 player but I rarely take my wallet along during the day.

Today it was a Millie in the front right pocket and a para IWB. With the millie, its hard to justify even carrying another knife.

Typically I carry the Leatherman e33l and Spyderco Bug, along with Fenix E01, and Nitecore CR2 warm (soon to be replaced by 4Sevens Quark Mini Warm). The Victorinox belt clip is handy to loop a lot of stuff (as you can see), and yes, the Casio watch. The phone is Samsung Xplorer/marine -- waterproof and weatherproof.

Now don't get a wrong impression here - I am a software programmer. :-)

If I'm in the office I usually just have a Caly 3, Stretch, Kopa or sometimes the Manix 2.

If I'm out doing emergency service work, I EDC:

Spyderco Military SE
Surefire Centurion C3
Petzl MYO RXP headlamp
Petzl Calidris harness
DMM Carabiners (usually 3 or 4)
Leatherman Surge
2 or 3 6mm Prussik loops

The 'Toothpick' is usually not too far away either - a Husqvarna or Stihl chainsaw with a 12" bar.
Top :spyder:s : Caly 3, Stretch, Millie, Manix 2, Police, Kopa, Polliwog, Meerkat, Chinook III, and SuperHawk.

Small: Glock 22 .40 cal
Big: Remington 870

A few knives and some other stuff.

I prefer the 870 with slug load over a knife.

We would rather be the knife in your pocket, because is "works" better, than the knife in your showcase, because it "looks" better.

I'll do an inventory on my backpack and jacket tonight.
