Yes, very smooth. The most notable thing about the Superhawk to me is the thickness of the blade viewed from above. Ernie Emerson, move over, we need to do some prying with this blade.

I wonder if the Superleaf will use the same thickness? It would be interesting but would make it less of a slicer, at least for those hanging out in the kitchen?

I ordered one from the shoppe recently...does anyone have in the pocket pics? can't wait to get mine...i recently got rid of my emerson combat karambit because i had trouble deploying it with the wave and also i didn't like the opening hole...couldn't flick it open when the wave failed to deploy the blade...nothing beats the spydie hole!

The Superleaf should slice decently as long as the edge is kept around .020" like the original Manix and the Millie, which have 4MM blades as well with a FFG and slice well. With an edge like that it will be very tough yet still slice well for the thick blade stock. Those ergos and lock with a leaf shaped blade would make for a winner that would compliment my Superhawk well.

BTW/FWIW, you should be able to swap the clip for the alternate "low ride" version used on some other Spydercos.
