perrin neck bowie

Post by guitarguy »

how awesome would it be if spyderco released a production version of the perrin neck bowie? it looks exactly like the perrin street beat and the street bowie, but it has a blade length of 2 1/2 inches and an overall length of 6 inches. i think it would make the perfect EDC fixed blade. next to the to the ronin that is. :D

That would be interesting. Personally, I think the Street Beat is just a hair on the small side, so I probably wouldn't pick up a Neck Bowie. However, I would love to see a Micarta-handled run of Street Bowies. Awe, man...

I agree with both suggestions. I really like my Street Beat and have become a Perrin fan since getting it.

I think a Perrin Push Bowie would be great. There is a picture of one a little more than half down on this webpage: http://www.bladeart.com/artists/fred_pe ... perrin.htm I think a Spyderco production version in VG-10 and a black micarta handle would a really nice knife. I would probably get two.

I also think a run of a Perrin Bowie 2 like the current run of the Temperance 2 would be a great. Once again I would like to see it VG-10 and a black micarta handle.

i think the street beat is awesome.but most states are changing thier concealed weapons laws and alot of jurisdictions are putting a maximum blade length limit of 2 and a half inches on knives. I think that a smaller neck bowie version of the street beat would fill the niche for this market.plus it would just look cool.

I think with the Perrin push Bowie Spyderco could probably do two versions, one with a black micarta handle to match the street beat and another skeleton version for people to customize as or if they wish.

I got one from Boker last week. nice little knife, I'm thinking about ordering a sheath with a small Teklok and cord-wrapping the handle, it would make an excellent EDC. pic: see link in post #10

I still prefer the design of the Push Bowie. It is much shorter and I think a Micarta version would look great next to a Street Beat.
