Sharpening A Meadowlark

#1

Post by Joestoocrazy16 »

How do you go about sharpening a Meadowlark since it has the edge only on one side. I have read that it is a Hollow ground blade. I have only had blades that is sharpened on both sides of the blade. So how do you sharpen a blade with an edge on one side.

What are you using?
Sharpen the ground edge as you normally do. Take the burr off with a few light strokes on the unground side almost flat to the stone . I hate sharpening chisel grinds.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

You may have to free hand the non-ground side on one of the stones. Probably medium or fine.
The sharpmaker is ideal for serrations. Check it out.
