Spyderco Saves another Whale

#1

Post by Clawhammer »

On the News tonight were shots of the rescue of a HumpBack Whale that got caught in sharknets off the Goldcoast.

The overhead shots clearly showed them using the curved blade of Spyderco's Whale Rescue blade... The rescue team had it on the end of a long pole with a rope to control the angle of attack... hope the vid works for O/S members..

and a crappy still pic, which basically shows nothing...

But, anyway...well done Spyderco

Didn't even conjure an actual use for this slab of steel, but this is the 3rd or 4th instance I have seen documented where it did the job. amazing.

Can't wait till the folder version comes out. (I wish.)
