+1 for a Spyderco Jani-Song! I'd also love to see a Yojimbo with s90v and forest green g-10.

I don't personally see that happening but.....Spyderco has been known to innovate and push exciting new products...

I wouldn't put it past them, but I doubt that it will happen.

I would think, since it's not a bali-song and since the knife ruling was killed (the one from the customs and border patrol), that they could consider bringing the Jani-song into fruition. It's really just taking the concepts of a bali-song but making the knife a lot safer to deploy so that you don't lose a finger in the process.

This is great news. I'm glad to see Michael join the spydercrew again. I've met him a few times at the IWA show, he's a very kind and knowledgeable professional.

This is great news indeed, I hope this will have positive influence on the new Spydie MBC models. Looking Forward very much on that, I recall it was not so long ago as someone mentioned the Yo has no other future, as MJ is workin with Blackhawk now. Now you see :)

My Dear Friends,

This is some amazing news, to be certain.

Michael Janich is an incredible Martial Artist and knife designer - the Yojimbo and Ronin are two of my all-time favorite knives.

He is also quite personable, as the correspondence between he and his fans (myself included) will attest.

I am very glad to see that he is once more allied with Spyderco - I think both parties will be the better for it, as will the knife community as a whole.

As I understand it, the Jani-Song was being considered a "butterfly knife" and was being treated as such.

The big question... Will he be able to go back to "Martial Blade Craft" or will he keep the "Concepts?"

I too concure that a Sprint of the Yojimbo is in order :)

Good news. Ronin sprint would be great to celebrate this. :)

Thank you all very much for your congratulations and your enthusiasm!

As I sit here in my new office on my first day of work I have absolutely no doubt that I am where I belong. I am thrilled to be a member of the Spyderco family and look forward to applying my skills to support the continued success of the most innovative knife company in the industry.

I will definitely be an active participant in the Spyderco forums and welcome your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback.

Good things really do come to those who wait. And my wait is finally over.

Stay safe,

Mike

It would be nice to see a Roninesque blade with the pommel projecting out as far as the Yojimbo...
