Congrats to Mike. Spyderco should be very thankful.
I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

****... I watched the Jani-Song video, learned the few moves he showed, and I've been on my BaliYo for over an hour and a half.

Glad Mr. Janich is on board!

Congratulations Spyderco and Michael. Glad to see him back where he belongs.

For those that have never met Michael, he is one of the most knowledgeable and friendly folks you could ever meet. I look forward to not only the collaborations but maybe more of his presence here on the forums.

Exactly what I was thinking. I hope it finally hits the market, and not in limited quantities. :( *

It would be considered a balisong/gravity knife, though, right? :(

I dunno. It's not quite a balisong since it doesn't have two "butterfly" handles. It really only has one handle and one sheath that the handle "rotates" into.

I think that still wouldn't comply with CA's state law on gravity knives and switchblades :(

HOLY SH!T THAT JANI-SONG IS FAST!!!

As for the CA legalities, its honestly a toss up. I'm leaning more to no since it doesn't have a tendensy to stay closed with out that latch engaged, but on the other hand, since everything rotates around the same pivot, it wouldn't easily be contrued as the "super dangerous" butterfly knife  .
