BeefTips Collection So Far

#1

Post by BeefTips »

Hey guys,

I have made a few posts on the forum so far, but haven't really made a formal introduction. I have been collecting knives since I was young. I am 29 now and still like knives, but the ones I get now are a lot more expensive (nicer quality) than when I was kid. I have only been really collecting Spyderco knives since the end of last year. I am not sure how I have ended up with so many. Well here is a picture of my collection so far. Sorry the picture quality isn't that great. I am not the best photographer.

Thanks for the introduction and I hope your enjoying the forums! That's a pretty nice collection, especially since you've only been at it for a short time. I have way less even though I got my first :spyder: when I was 17 (I'm also 29 now). Once the economy picks up I plan on expanding my collection as well. :D

You are still a young man!

Nice collection, which is your favorite? And what do you EDC the most?

Toad,

It is hard to pick a favorite. I really like the Para Military and the Manix 2 but they aren't my usual EDC choices. EDC often goes to either a Delica or the Cricket. I work in an office setting so I usually EDC the Cricket because I feel it is more acceptable. On the weekends, or when I am out in the yard, I usually carry the Para or Manix 2. Most of them usually see some pocket time every now and then.

Nice job with the black-blade FG D4. Was that just a blade swap with a regular black-blade D4?

I swapped the FG scales from a FG D4 with the black scales from a black balde D4. I didn't just swap the blade because I wanted all the black hardware. That required taking both all the way apart and swapping the scales.

Very nice collection. How much do you like the etched cricket? I was looking at a SS Cricket, but the etched looks very good.

very nice collection! I really need to jump on the Manix 2 bandwagon, I probably wouldn't use it for EDC for the same reasons but it's such an awesome knife all around. keep that addiction alive!
