I don't know about ya'll but I love this knife! :D I pulled the trigger on the G-10 first and V8R got the SS about 2 weeks later. The ergos of this knife are amazing. There's only one thing "I" would possibly change. "I" would like jimping on the spine of the blade all the way down to the swedge grind. What do ya'll think? Hats off to Spyderco for amazing quality and thought they put in their knives.

I too love this knife! My second ever spyderco was the SS version and I love it! I have been wanting to order the g10 version for a while but just am waiting for the right time/funds. lol I am glad to hear other people don't just think of it as an ugly design. It is the most comfortable knife I own! I think jimping would be a nice addition!

I just received the G10 Poliwog. I'm surprised there isn't more fanfare regarding this knife! It has amazing ergonomics and is a powerful cutter. Pretty NKP friendly too!

I never dreamed I'd own a Poliwog, at least not in the stainless version. I can't stand stainless scales. But when the G-10 version came out, someone posted a photo in this forum and something just clicked. I had to have one and I don't regret it. Of course, having two of my favorite Spyderco features really helped--a wire clip and a ball lock. It is a fun knife to carry and a great conversation piece. I'm actually thinking of being the first to send mine in to Tom Krein for a grinding.

I agree, very under-appreciated.

I'm a Poliwog fan too. I carried the ss verison for a long time untill the Lava came around. The G10 version has made sure, I once again carry a Poliwog at work. The ergos are great, as is the blade control. I don't think jimping on the spine would work well. I have plenty of control on the blade as is, and I'd worry that jimping would make the knife rougher on the pocket (when closed).

Poli is my 2nd favorite :spyder: after the Police. I always carry it if I need a small blade (because of the idiot rules:mad :) . I will buy a G10 version as soon as I can. I'm excitedly waiting for some color G10s on the Poli! Orange, "Dodo-Blue", DigitalCamo, Foliage Green, etc, etc.... Carry On Poliwog! ;)
Rusty blades are awful.

It would be so cool if they came out with colored G10 Poliwogs! Maybe since we can't seem to get an answer on the orange dodo sprint we could get an orange Poliwog! :D :D and Yes a dodo blue would aslo be especially sweet!!!!

I'm thinkin about pickin up a G10 poli to go with my mini persian but I'm kinda on the fence about how wide it is when folded - can anyone post a pic of the G10 poliwog with like a delica, native, or ideally the mini persian? Any opinions on the folded width? Thanks!

Thats true... I didn't think about pocket abuse. I guess if I want to go to jimping Heaven ;) I'll just have to carry good ole Manix II huh? :p I'd really like to see a Poliwog after Tom Krein has gotten a hold of it. If anyone has pics of one, I would really like to see it.

I love this little guy. Always put off getting one until recently when i just coulden't stop thinkin 'bout it!I got the SS version because its got alot more character than the G-10, but i hear it's been discontinued so i probably won't be using it, so I'm gonna have to get the G-10 for a user.
