ooowww.... not fun....

So I've started my fun today that's gonna last about 6 months... mole removal

Took the first 2 moles today, gonna take 7-8 over the next 6 months (though I'm asking when I see him in 10 days about taking em all at once). Find out in 2-3 weeks if they find anything on these 2 sites.

of course he's gotta cut out and stitch the whole batch of em (and send em off for testing)

Sitting here with the one between my shoulders both hurting every time I move and itching like ****. The first one on my shoulder just itches. At least I have tomorrow off.

Just had 3 removed (2 back, one leg). One back and one leg were mildly dysplastic. So, I'll be checked yearly and watched closely for sure (redhead). We are MUCH more carefull with my kids and exposure than my parents ever thought about being. Changing times and awareness and all that.

Good luck with yours. Echoing the Deacon, hopefully they are just moles.

when both grandfathers had skin cancer issues, and all 4 grandparents had cancer issues, I wouldn't be surprised either way. Especially the way it's spread across both sides. My sister goes in today for a thyroid biopsy that they're pretty certain is malignant, with the way it's grown the last 6 months).

I drew the short stick on blood pressure with all 4 grandparents having issues, so we all know my luck.

At least I didn't draw the red-headed Irish gene. None of us could be called fair skinned.

I hope everything turns out well, VW.

I've had many sunburns over my lifetime, and have had several moles removed over the years. Better to take care of things early.

That's the fun of it though... I don't tan. I can be outside all summer without a shirt on and barely change colour. I haven't even had a sunburn in 7-8 years.

Tell yah, this one between my shoulders feels like someone stabbing me repeatedly. Took 9hrs to get 4-5hrs of sleep last night. I'd roll over and wake up in pain.

I had about 8 taken off my back at one time. First they were removed. On the follow up, the doctor did not like that they were repigmenting, so he cut deeper and did the stiching on each.

The worst part is the itching.

Today's been a lot better as far as pain. Still hurts, still itches. At least I got my 4hrs of sleep in a single chunk last night.

was at a lake all weekend, couldn't get wifi at all.

We're now at the "itches like **** but I can't scratch it" stage. trust me I've seriously considered making use of a doorframe a few times

I had a lesion removed in Feb. so I know what it's like. Took two months to heal. The doctor won't remove moles. No reason given , just won't do it. Hate that. I think after someone hits sixty, the doctors think one foot is in the grave so why bother. lol.

Figured I might as well dig this one up rather than get another going.

I knew a while ago what the results were (family in the system, I knew the day the results went up), but officially got em today when I went in for another batch.

First 2 came up clean, just standard "compound moles".

2 more off today (tuesday morning), top of the right shoulder and towards the left of the middle of my back. The one on the left isn't bad this time, but the one on the top of my shoulder has been annoying me since about noon. I move my arm and it hurts, so it's a good thing my workday involves either carrying my book around and talking to people for information or sitting down and working on another report.

Another day tomorrow of sitting around doing as little as possible. All I did today was eat, watch TV, catch up on email, sleep on the couch and scratch the dog. Figure I'd rather be at home in pain than try to work. Now 0130 here, movie is over and we'll see if I can get sleep laying on my back yet. If it wasn't for thursday's meeting with 4 other dept on a major QA issue, I'd take a short vacation here (civil holiday monday turned this into a 5 day weekend already).

The best place to have a mole is inside a sample jar!

Well, apparently my latest 2 have been sent off to calgary for a 2nd opinion. Had been wondering why my family hadn't told me results after 3 weeks, they'd been waiting to hear back from the 2nd opinion before tellling me.

My mother says the doc who saw these ones is over cautious and sends off anything she suspects MAY pop positive. So that doesn't tell me if she considers it cancerous or not.

Now for the real fun waiting game

Good luck on the results VW. I had biopsy on my leg and below my ear last Wednesday. I had some lumps and scaly things growing so the doctor numbed the areas and used a little tool of somekind to take the biopsy. I would have liked to have looked the tool over. I bled a lot from the wounds. I have to go back in September to get the results. Wish me luck!

Well, got the news from my mother with the results finally in the system. This batch was abnormal. Guess we'll see what the doc says when I see him in a week.
