Darn. Looks like I'm "That Guy"

I've become "that guy" who buys things on Ebay at absurdly high prices. I just picked up an average, run of the mill sheath for a Swick for almost $30, because only after winning did I notice that at the bottom, it said
"***Sheath only.
To my defense, it only said it once at the very bottom.
Anybody need an OD green swick sheath?

If you'd like to pay me an absurdly high price for a swick you can have a matched set.

That one fooled me too. When the picture shows a knife and a sheath, most sellers indicate that the knife isn't included more prominently. I've been caught a few times, so I'm more cautious now.

I just made that mistake. I caught a D2 Paramilitary with only couple of minutes to spare, and considering they had just sold out the day before on the :spyder: website (or so I thought), I pounced on it like a fat kid on a twinkie. I bidded it up to $110 and actually felt pretty good about it- my adrenaline was pumping and I was in disbelief at how I just threw caution to the wind. And thats when I saw "Used" in the description.

Sadly that wasn't the worst part of it. The very next day I checked the :spyder: website to look at the D2 again, only to see that the D2 Paras had been put back up for sale..... $99.99, free shipping, and brand new. :( Lesson learned.

At least you are getting something usable. If you were one of those poor folks who ended up buying "just the box" of the item they thought they were getting, then you would have cause to worry.

I don't own a swick, nor do I have a use for one, that's the problem. I have an expensive sheath for one. Granted, it *is* better than just boxes, but still. I was planning on buying the Swick at "such a great price" then reselling it at the normal price. Party Foul.
