That is my ALL TIME FAVORITE SPYDERCO! It is the full size Calypso with micarta scales.

They are a bit hard to find, but worth the search!

IF I COULD MAKE A WISH AND SPYDERCO WOULD MAKE ANY KNIFE I WANTED, THIS WOULD BE IT WITH A ZDP-189 BLADE!!

C54BMP Calypso, just like the one in the left leg pocket of my carpenter jeans right now, except for the CC number. ;)

A ZDP-189 Calypso sprint run would be GREAT news for people like me that love great cutting performance. Take that elegant design with it's great blade geometry and add in my favorite folder steel and I would be all over it! I think a lot of other Spyder Knuts would be lining up to buy one, too.

Unfortunately, Sal has posted that he learned many things making linerless Micarta knives, and one of those things was not to. The Calypso just wouldn't be the same with steel liners, even with a ZDP blade. I wonder if they ever figured out why so many of the blades were warped.

Tha's one of the most beautiful knives I have ever seen. If they could throw some liners on it, it would be perfection. Just love to see micarta on knives.

YES YES YES!!!!! Exactly what I told a friend yesterday. Add white Micarta and I will buy 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Society needs more full size Calypso's, such a great slicer and eye pleaser. From what I understand there is no more than 1,500 of them in the world.

I do not ask for much but I am asking for this. PLEASE!!!!!!! It will be the knife Im buried with!

From what Sal posted once before, there were 1200 pieces; 600 serrated and 600 plain.

I agree 100%! I love Micarta, but FRN ain't bad and to get the Calypso blade in ZDP-189 would be well worth sacraficing the Micarta for FRN IMO. That blade is just an icon, if you ask me. Pure cutting oriented geometry as good as it gets in a 4" production blade.
