Don't worry, I had no idea that the Spyderco Factory Outlet wasn't distinct from spyderco.com either, or what SFO stood for, for a long time.

If SFO and the Spyderco online store are the same, how come so many people say they found amazing deals there? They sell at MSRP, except a few -very few!- clearance items...

They aren't really the same. They sell at MSRP online to avoid undercutting their own dealers, but if you walk into the store, it is a different story.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

With that being said, I think it's high time for me to scrape together a few hundies and make a pilgrimage to the SFO.

Price on foot at the SFO is only %25. Below msrp. It can still be found way cheaper online. The nice thing about the SFO is that it has everything in one place. As well funds go directly to spyderco.

When the SFO is best is when the factory 2nds sale is happening. Other than that the deals are that "great"

The SFO has always been good to me.

I am a loyal to New Graham Pharnacy customer but once in a while the factory store has specials.
Not really all that slick ;)
