I'm with ya on the additive nature of these knives! :D I bought my first spydie in Aug 08 and now I have almost 20 knives made by spyderco! :spyder: :D As far as the Pacific goes... it's on the wish list!
Just Remember, Using while stupid may cause serious bodily injury!

Current :spyder: Wish List... Pacific Salt (black), Resilience, Persian, PPT, Super Leaf, + anything in 3v or 9cr... and the list goes on and on!

I love mine.I take mine when i go fishing in the ocean in a boat,I cant stand fishing off the docks, and when it gets hot i`ll dive off the boat and go for a swim and cool off with the knife clipped to my trunks and never even dry the the knife off and never see any rust, it also holds an edge very good. I have no complaints. :)

I really like my Pacific Salt. I actually wore mine in the Hot Tub, then soaked it over night in a sink and that was enough to convince me it won't rust. It has excellent edge geometry at around 15 per side with a .020" edge. I will send mine to Tom Krein for a full flat grind to a .010" edge and a splinter picker tip, but it is certainly a fine knife as is. There is something to be said for a knife that you never have to worry about getting wet or rusting on you, and it is so light you don't notice you are carrying it.

I love my PE Pacific. The factory edge geometry is very workable, unlike that of the current Delicas and Enduras (aside from the full-flat ground models). The blunt tip is slightly annoying, but isn't any big deal. Overall, I think it's an excellent knife. You'll love yours.

I do, however, find myself wanting a finer tip, so I may eventually sent it to Tom for a full-flat grind, plinter-picker tip, and swedges. Man, that would be sweet!

in my opinion, the pacific salt is the best "workhorse folder" spyderco has ever made. affordable, rugged, sharpens easily... and no rust. also, H1 work hardens as you use it... so use it... HARD!!! :D

Love mine as well. Two most carried knives in my summer rotation are my SE pacific salt and my SE tasman salt.

Well,
I just got mine yesterday and will take some pic's of it in action very soon. Love the blade shape, yellow handle, and yes being able to run 'er under hot water and snap it closed is tops!
