Great Knives ~ Great Prices?????

#1

Post by Ms. Delica »

Has anyone had any experience with this company out of Tampa, Florida?

I had a friend that ordered from overseas, and never got his merchandise.
I tried to order three knives, to check them out. Only one knife has shown up after a month of them being paid in full (via paypal THANK GOD!)............and with a very smashed box and knife out of sheath???? I paid almost $15.00 for shipping and they only spent $3.11 in a bubble envelope?

Still trying to find out where my other two knives are???
Email responses are far and few between, always blaming the "partner".
Phone mail box is always full and calls are never returned.

Order went in the second half of March. They told me they shipped the "knives" on the 14th of April. The postage stamp says April 22nd?

I would be very, very leary of anyone doing business with this company!!!!
Seems like a big SCAM to me! Spread the word.....USE EXTREME CAUTION with dealing with this "great knife~great price company....Our name says it all????

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

This guy has a long history of this. :( Check blade forums. Open a paypal dispute ASAP. Hope you get taken care of that way.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

I have heard time and time again to stay away from this seller. I have no personal experience but I never want to test it.

I ordered two knives from them without a hitch, I guess I got lucky  . This was before I'd heard a few horror stories from them. I won't be testing my luck with them again.

I ordered a D4 from him a year or so ago and was one of the lucky ones. He has ripped off a lot of people. Like someone else said go check over at Blade Forums, He has legendary status in the good bad and ugly section

liveit_loud on Ebay.

I whole-heartedly second that. I've had zero problems with either of these guys.

Great Knives ~ Great Prices BEWARE

Only one knife has shown up after a month of them being paid in full (via paypal THANK GOD!)............

Just found out Pay Pal does not cover non eBay items..... an EVEN BIGGER BEWARE. Pay Pal suggested that I report them to IC3.gov which in the internet site for the FBI for internet fraud and the BBB.org. I am so mad
I know "buyer beware".....but this is crazy. Thanks for all your support and input!!!

Ms. Delica

PS....sorry about the large font.....but eye sight is not as good as it use to be ;)

If you used a credit/debit card to make the paypal payment you can contact your card company/bank and report this as fraud. They can do a charge back against him.

Unfortunately it was mostly cash out of my paypal account

The guy that "collects" the funds is trying to get my money back. He has answered my emails, as a helper only! Very, very strange. Not a peep out of Andrew the owner???

I wonder if Spyderco knows he doesn't have a store front??? But just uses the web?

If what I understand is correct, that would only matter if he purchases directly from Spyderco. In that case Spyderco could stop supplying him. But, if he purchases through a distributor like most, if not all, "internet only" dealers then Spyderco can't really do anything.

You might also want to contact the Florida Attorney General's Cyber Fraud Task Force and the USPS's Postal Insprection Service.

i strongly suggest that 1) anyone with this sort of experience post about it in the feedback section of ebay, and that 2) everyone always check feedback narratives before they buy. sometimes negative comments are contained in positive feedback... and if you see the same sort of comment repeatedly (such as "slow shipping" or "item not in stock"), it's much more likely to be a problem that may impact you.

I used to buy from them a while back. They had good prices and I got all my knives promptly. Sad to see them go downhill.

In addition to poor_fish and spydieguys, I've had very good experiences with yourknifeconnection.
