How many of you shave with your Spyderco knife/knives?

Post by ChapmanPreferred »

I started shaving my face/neck with a Spyderco UK Pen Knife while on a trip to Italy and Romania. I have since started shaving at home with a Spyderco Native Light weight. What model do you currently use and what would be your preferred Spyderco Model for shaving?

My inquiring mind has to know... :)

I get a 5 o'clock shadow around noon & my whiskers are tough for a Gillette Mach III. If I tried to shave with a knife I would scrape up my skin and get a bad case of razor burn.

Shaving? Rings a bell, but haven't done it in many years. Full beard is the way to go.

I've fully shaved with a knife once or twice, mostly out of curiosity. If I notice I missed a spot during the day I'll take care of it with my Caly 3.

I've used my Para to shave a few times while on canoe trips. More for the novelty of being clean-shaven after a few day trip when no one else is. Other than that, I have shaved with my other blades just to see if they could. The SE Rescue was interesting. It shaved, but left some good scratches on my face from the points :D
And I have a nice patch of no hair on my left arm. That's my testing after a sharpening.

I shaved with my D2 Para on occasion. Also did it with my Landi PSK.

Little rough, a little burn, but interesting nonetheless. :)

I had an intense sharpening session last weekend and currently have very little hair on my left arm. But as far a shaving the face goes I get around to that about 3 or 4 times a year.

you would be surprised. I have found that shaving with a straight razor creates far less razor burn than with my Mach III.

She said it was sharper than a razor, wich it is. But since then I've gone back to electric!! She'll never try that again on my mug. Whoops!

I have been known to shave with my Ronin on occasion, that being the face and neck but No hair left on my left arm, the right one is still bushy...(I'm not going to the beach anytime soon or plan on wearing short sleeve shirts)...Doc :D

Cars are for driving, shoes are for the feet, sunglasses are for eyes, knives are for cuts and razors are for shaving.

I've done it a few times. I've one it with a Cold Steel Master Tanto, a few times with a Bladeforums 440V Native, a 440V Military and a 440V Lil' Temp.

It's not something I do on a regular basis. The only times I did was to show off how sharp my knives could get to my roommates at the time. I did come away impressed with how nice a shave I did get with them. Far better than a standard razor.

I don't shave neither with a knife nor with a razor(a Philips takes care of this better and faster). If I were to use a knife, it would surely be a Spydie - probably a Delica or a Caly jr.
