Well after seeing this thread, I made a point to go to the SFO and I just bought the last three in stock. I will be back to get a few more next week.

Cool little knife, and a great price. I put my new orange Ladybug away and will give the BUG a try. This is a small knife but appears well constructed and it has the Spyderco name to back it up.

I thought I'd cross-post my pics of the bug ...

If you know of anyone that collects or plays with dolls ... their dolls would love to have their very own Spydercos.

It is just the right scale for about an 18" dolls.

Hey, the wife is getting a little ticked about references to her doll being scary :p

I cannot believe all you "knife guys" are getting weirded out by a doll! Did you realize the things YOU collect are instruments of stabbing, murder and mayhem? Dolls are sweet little things you can make frilly dresses for!

I wasn't criticizing just making a funny. **** I collect Pez so who the **** am I to say anything. I do like the picture of the doll with the knife. It does give a good scale size reference.

BTW - I have never been "convicted" of stabbing anyone....lol as for mayhem that is a different story.

Cricket Bite,

We're just making fun, too. You happen to be the second person to mention Chuckie after seeing the doll with the knife. I need to make sure I disarm the dolls before I go to sleep ;)

Oh wow that's cool! I am going to buy an ammo belt, make sheaths like yours, and clip about 30 bugs across it.

That is the first thing I thought when I saw it on your belt. Hooray ADD

Funny thing. When I posted that, it was totally tongue in cheek, never expected it to happen.

The "Bug" knife seems to be all gone. Wonder if it was a one time run of these knives, don't see it in the 2009 catalog.

I wonder if the volume of sales for this one has taken Spyderco by surprise? Lets be fair, it probably didn't sound like a winner, promotional tool, yes, volume seller, I doubt it. ;) :D

Everyone that has seen my Bug thinks it is the cutest **** thing ever. Then I tell them to check out how sharp it is. Cute yes, but surprisingly usable for little tasks.

That tiny sheath is sweeeet.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

My girlfriend loves her Bug. She keeps it on her key ring. It is great for cleaning her nails, opening letters, doing all the little stuff she does on a daily basis. Plus its great because she isnt very tall/big, her pockets are so small her keys barely fit (and all thats on her key ring is the apartment key, her car key and the Bug. Its great. I wish Spyderco would make another run of them...

...and that resellers who get upset at dealers selling below MSRP would actually sell at MSRP themselves (Instead of 2 to 3 times the MSRP)
