I thought I heard from somewhere that the CF ones might be coming soon ??? I'm looking forward to the both Squash Bone and CF Kopas coming out in 2009. I'll probably grab one of each... at least :D :p

I'd guess that, since there are only two coming out this year, whichever one is scheduled to be first should hit the streets within the next couple months and the other roughly six months later.

We've been discussing a lefty run. The maker has a set of 3 shell stripes that's slightly diffeent from the original 3 shell run.

(there was a mix up in the black pearl vs abalone and we hade already made up the catalogs and didnt want to lie to our customers. Just a little thing, but we throught it could create confusion for the future)

I was a bit late to the party on the Kopa's.
Almost went for collecting all of them, many- many times.
Decided not to play catch up.
I do plan to buy a CF model though.

Sal,
Any chance on having a similar run with the Stretch model?
I would really be interested in that!

Thanks again!

I think, quite a few people would love to see clipless Kopa for dress-up carry

In another Kopa thread I was certain Sal mentioned:

1) Lefty Kopa
2) Clipless Kopa
3) Plain Stainless Steel Kopa (like the S/S Kiwi) ???

All will be graciously accepted by myself, even if I am a righty.

I also heard that one/ some/ all might be Boye Dentless ???

For the sake of continuity I am uncertain as to Sal's thoughts on some of these being quite different to the 'original' Kopas ??? Different is good, but as part of a collection would different devalue the whole ?
Cheers

I don't care what comes out I'll buy it! BUT I'm NOT addicted, no siree, I can take it or leave it............NOT! :D

I'd be seriously, for the moment, interested in the all-stainless version preferably clipless (or as an option clipless) as it would make a companion piece for my other Stainless knives, the Kiwi and Native.

Regards,

BRIAN

I think it is squashed bone ? !!!! ROFL :p just kidding. I think it might be petrified squash/ pumpkin ? not sure, but I would expect something like that.

It does look very nice and reminds me a bit of the last Giraffe Bone release. Hopefully we'll see some nice renditions of it come release time.
Cheers

It is jigged bone, probably cow bone, dyed a shade of orange. Photo of the prototype, taken by Mr. Blonde at IWA is here.

Mr. Glesser, Sir? I wouldn't importune you for trivial matters such as world peace, or global quick change, or even if I am destined to die this evening. It's just that the kopa model spyderco has led me from Buddhism to oniomania. U.S. currency is based on the Spyderco Equivalence Standard. The knife dealer or glesser will have grandchildren named Spyderson,(Speaderzoon in the Netherlands). Edge-U-Catechism....the Spyderco Izmel....Excalibur with a spyder edge.... "How many angels can dance in a spyder hole?".......i digress.....Sal?... Taz?......the kopa....do you know a when? your worshipful servant , pantopop
