LEO Brothers Down

Hey All, Just a REQUEST from the "Family Bros and Sisters Here" to send PRAYERS and Good Thoughts to the family members of those who lost a loved one IN THE LINE OF DUTY in Oakland,CA. 3 Officers were shot and killed and another still fighting for his life.

During a traffic stop motor patrol officers contacted the suspect who had a warrant out for his arrest on a parole violation. When contacted he opened fire and killed one patrol officer, fled the scene on foot and barricaded himself in an apartment building. He was later engaged by SWAT members where he opened fired on the SWAT Team with an assault rifle Killing 2 more officers and wounding another. In an exchange of gunfire the suspect was also killed.

As an LEO this has a big impact and reminds me of just how often we're out gunned and many times out manned. If you can be so kind ... PLEASE SEND GOOD THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS IN THIS TIME OF NEED. My Prayers Will Be With Them and The Pain of Losing Fellow Brothers Will Be Shared. Thank You For Listening. Take Very Good Care and Be Safe Always.

God Bless :)

Holy carp! Three guys? Reminds me of a disaster in Phoenix a few years ago where three guys got shot up going into an apartment and two died.

I was looking at the Phoenix Police Museum memorial page and they have lost seven officers in the past five years.

Dear Raven,
Being in the same boat, I can only be symphatetic to your colleagues.
My prayers and good thoughts will be sent towards them and their famillies. May God have mercy of them...

I can't think of any words that could cover such an unfortunate event, except to be thankful that there are people who have chosen the role of protecting others while putting their own lives at risk.

Office John Hege, 41, continues to serve after his death. The story begins...
"Organs donated by a slain Oakland, California, police officer saved four lives, and his donated tissue will enhance the lives of up to 50 others, the California Transplant Donor Network said Wednesday."

The story is here:
