Does anyone here know how to make removable mule scales? I would like to make some
"One Chance One Cut"

I put 1/4" Lexan scales on mine with regular nuts & bolts from the local hardware store.
Unfortunately I got stuff sized for the larger holes rather than the smaller ones. My reasoning was that the 52-100 Mule has different holes than the newer ones, so I thought I'd use the holes that are the same across the board. The problem is that the heads on a 3/8" bolt are too big to keep a good handle shape and leave room to get a socket in.
I think I'll save the 52-100 Mule for a more permanent handle, and get some 3/16" hardware next time (should be plenty of room left for handle shaping with that).
