help on my new ukpk

#1

Post by poceyjp1 »

hello fellow spyder friends
I just received my ukpk from ngk....... WOW handling this fine edged tool is like giving an old friend a firm and confidence inspiring embrace. the only thing that im a little unsure on is where the blade rests when in the closed position. it sits rather close to the right scale however there is no contact. I was just wondering if anyone out there could offer any advice. Is this something that i really need to be worried about or am i being just a bit ridiculous.
thanks very much
this forum is a fantastic example of what an online enthusiasts community should be. :spyder:

If the blade is not making any contact against the scale i dont see any problem.I have a few like that, and it has not caused any problems.

My ukpk is the same way. No problems though. It sets to the right a little but i am right handed so when i push against the blade(and you have to push harder on it than you would a lockback) it doesnt push against the left scale. They may have considered that extra force being applied against the blade. I think they might have made them this way for a reason. Or I could be totally wrong.

Mine has perfect centering. If the centering is a little off, seems like no biggie.
