Oh my! If I ever get to the point to put knives in plastic bags I will either sell them all, or give them away. Then I will buy a nice Endura, and use the heck out of it.

I have knives worth more then 5 dodos, and they are all just in a closet. Put some oil on it, play with it, put it back. What's the point in sealing knives? Enjoy them.

Whats with all the dodos man?? lol put them back out there if your not gonna use em! lol keep one and sell the others so ppl like me can finally get ahold of one..
I count 7 in that pile! why?
If you want one put in the work and go get one. Dodos are for sale on non-auction sites almost every week of the year for reasonable prices. I have that many because they're not being made anymore and there hasn't been a sprint run yet. ;)
What's the point in sealing knives?
To preserve them in their current condition for whatever future purpose I want to put them too?

Have you guys never seen this before? It's a collection, I had assumed most people like to preserve such things. I found vacuum sealing to be the most effective and efficient means to accomplish my intended goal.

The dates I've seen have the knife in production from 2000-2002. The few I've seen for sale have gone for between $100-$150. I paid $160 for my first one and $65 for my second. It pays to scout around for unlikely sales. :)
How does Rem Oil affect the finish of the handle?
I haven't noticed any effects. From what I can see FRN and G10 should not have any issues with the solvents/lubricants. Other handle materials may but I'm not sure since my folders are all of similar material.

Original packaging in my safe with a dehumidifier. Before that original packaging in my desk drawer. Never had a problem with either.

We used a lot of desiccant when storing moisture sensitive equipment in the service. Larger containers required a lot of them. The containers had a rubber seal on the lids to keep out the elements. On the outside, a humidity indicator was installed, which would change color as humidity increased. When this happened, you would obviously change out the desiccant. That might be a little excessive for knives; I guess it depends on how bad your OCD is with knives. :p
