Sal asked me to post some pics of a Pacific Salt blade that we recently did some testing on... :eek: :D

Thanks for sharing with us.

May I ask...was it put in a vise and then bent? Do you know what kind of pressure it took to do that?

I'm sure you've had similar examples come through Warranty & Repair with a note saying, "It's only been used to open envelopes..." :D

OMG, it cracked. Must be defective heat treat. Oops, think I've finally OD'd on the BF BS. :D

Wow, amazing!! I would've thought it would snap before that much bend!!
Here is a chance to start some Spyderco Mythology:

...I heard that those bent blades are from the Mighty Sal just cleaning his fingernails!!! LOL :D :D

if you were testing i am sure you were measuring the force..so how much did it take? i am kind of surprised it just didnt break, of course my metalurgy is on par with my rocket science which is NIL...so what do i know :p
