I second that!

This weekend we completed the first MBC Level 4 class. The students who participated were extremely motivated and are the first to complete all four levels of the current MBC program, including the new Counter-Blade Craft program (empty hand against knife).

I truly appreciate the interest and dedication that all members of the class showed throughout their training and look forward to organizing an MBC alumni gathering in the future so we can do it all again.

I would also like to thank Spyderco and especially the folks at SFO for their efforts to organize and support the on-site MBC classes. Without you, none of this could have been possible.

Stay safe,

Hi all
First time post.
Just wanted to say that I just completed the MBC level 3&4. And it was one of the best seminars I have ever taken. I have completed level(s) 1&2 Twice, once at SFO and Once in Ohio and am already making plans to have Mike Janich back to Ohio for Level 3&4 in August. Mikes teaching is among the best I have had. Anyone wanting to learn about tactical knives or self-defense in general needs to get with Mike Janich as soon as possible. Spyderco and Patti were great and gifts were very cool

Be careful out there

Dear Bill and Dave:

Thanks for your posts and your kind words. You both have been around the martial arts/defensive tactics for a long time, so praise from you is high praise indeed.

As for the gifts, Spyderco and I wanted the folks who complete all four levels to have something unique and memorable. As such, a Spydercard laser engraved with the MBC logo and "Spyderco MBC Graduating Class #1" seemed a very good choice. I'm glad you agree.

Thanks to all of you for your interest and support. You are the ones who have made this program a success.

Stay safe,

mike j
