Christmas Carry!

#1

Post by Billy »

Ok, so now that the big day is almost here, what Spyderco(s) will you have on you for package deconstruction, ham carving, etc? Me, I will probably have my D2 Millie (you know, green knife for Christmas!) and my SE Tasman.

Oh yeah, a little birdy told me that there was a black-bladed S30V Millie, Schempp Khukuri and Rock Salt under the tree for me. :D

Ok, I admit it, I knew where the "stash" was and went and played with both the Khukuri and Rock Salt before my wife had the chance to wrap them up. The Millie I bought for myself so.... :p
I prefer to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

hmmm... probably a Superhawk.

:D I wish Spyderco made a a shirt like one of their SpyderPacs - a "SpyderShirt" with pockets all over!!! Lol, or just put arm holes on a large SpyderPac, then I won't go crazy trying to pick out a knife, I can bring 32 of my most favorites. Oh man, now I gotta pick 32... hahahaha :D

Persian is always a classy choice. As is the Kiwi. But opening packages usually calls for a SE Cricket. So most likely I'll have all three

I'll be rocking my new D4 SS PE, it will probably be it's first real cutting test.

As I have every Christmas since 2003, I will be wowing all relatives with my ability to open anything with the perfect knife. Tape? Sliced. Ribbon? Like buttah. Clampacks? Quaking in fear. What knife will I have?

Yep, you guessed it! One of my PE Dodos!!!!bbq1!!

I'm not sure. Right at this moment, I'm thinking it will be my Krein'd ZDP Endura and/or my CE Endura Wave. Of course, this all depends on whether or not I open a new Spydie!

At this point, I don't think I'll have a Spyder to open anything with Image

I had a problem with the knife servicing last month (-1 :mad :) . They offered me a replacement (+1 :) ). They said they sent it out 2 weeks ago, and it still hasn't arrived (-1 :mad :) . I sent an email, but no one has answered for 3 days (-1 :mad :) .

Hopefully before Christmas? Image

Thats why my girlfriend keeps my presents at her parents house until she wraps them. Hopefully there is a Police 3 and or Cricket waiting for me.

As for opening packages it'll be the Tasman with the Endura on deck.

I think for this Xmas if Santa (USPS) makes it to Australia fast enough I will be presenting myself with a nice Kopa or two for Xmas carry :D

Otherwise I might not be able to resist some Carbon Fibre Caly 3 any longer :p Persian will always ride with me on Xmas, so it just needs some new blood for company !
Cheers

SE Tasman Salt for plastic package opening.

Leatherman tool for cutting zip ties/removing small screws/etc. - have you seen how kid's toys are packaged these days? At an early Christmas gathering last weekend, it took me 10 minutes to get my niece's doll released from all the various methods used to secure it to the cardboard.

Looks like this year will be my Yellow SE Salt 1 unless the new clip screws for my Police 3 reach me soon.

S90V Military, Spin, Spyderench, Pacific Salt. Then I will add a large Dyad, and a modified byrd rescue plain edge. Oh, and the Rock Salt that lives in my pack with my sharpmaker.
