What is YOUR favorite every day carrying Spyderco?
Im sure a bunch of you know that mine is the Delica, it fits my hand perfect and its been with me since day one of my 1st Spyder.
With that being said im always searching for something else that i could carry everyday. I havent gotten a small Persian yet but it looks pretty worthy of EDC
Whats is your personal favorite EDC aka (what is in your pocket the most that you love and cant replace) ?

Hey Riot,
Don't buy too many Delicas mate.... once you get that Mini P you'll be hard pressed to get that outta your pocket.
For me it is the Large Persian for about 80% of the time with a Kopa :D I can't seem to shift both of those for some time now.
Those are closely followed by Mini Persian, Delica and CalyIII.

Cricket CF SE - there is almost nothing it can't do - including passing these 'alternate' EDC tests:
- "aww its so cute"
- "wow whats that thing made of?"
- "thats not a knife..."
...not to mention cutting through absolutely anything at all with ease - including clamshells (and if not careful, whatever is protected by the clamshell too) - and every type of packaging imaginable. I used it gardening today.. its really good in the garden!!
Best in hand, feel and tool-confidence though is totally mini-manix... it just doesn't pass the social elements I like in an EDC test.
It must be said though, if the AUD wasnt so borked right now Id have had a mini-persian here which might have changed things. Until the world picks up, I shant know though

as for the Persian, im into the smaller knives that arent so big in pocket and in hand keeping the blade just big enough which might make the small Persian pretty nice for me. dont know though cause i dont have one yet. soon...

I guess it will be the SS Cricket/SE. Many times I try to replace it with one of my Delica's, but everytime I cut with the Cricket I'm truly amazed by the cutting power of the little bugger.
Great as rescue tool as well. A while back I managed to cut a heavy leather belt in two with one pull  :D
The reason I try to replace it with the Delica is that it looks a bit funny: that little blade in my gorilla hands
Time to slip that folding serrated parrot beak in my pocket again for a while

Most days it's a Stretch in my back pocket, a Kiwi in my watch pocket, and a Jester on my keyring. Stretch will be either the Lignum Vitae one STR rebuilt for me, or a Stretch II that, aside from having the clip removed, is "stock". Kiwi can be any one of my flock, some get chosen more often than others, but all get carried occasionally. Jester, in burgundy micarta, is the one constant. It's been on my keyring for five years now.

For me the Kris has been the pocket hog now since I got it. I also usually have something else too like a D4, Caly 3 or mini Persian, but the Kris is the main EDC. Second place lately has been the big Persian. But again, the Kris has seen the most pocket time for sure since I got it over the summer. Oh, did I mention I REALLY like the Kris?? :D
With that said, I think you should give the mini Persian a try. Like all of Ed's designs, it feels just about perfect in the hand, looks beautiful but it is a true work horse that can handle pretty much anything you can throw at it. I also find that they sharpen up to ultra-scary-razor-sharp very easily and even with the hollow grind, are super slicers. The good thing in your case is, there is only one variant so you won't go broke buying up all the different versians! :D

A PE VG-10 Caly III is always my default, but I like to try different knives all the time. The Caly III usually gets picked because if my fiancee and I are leaving the house, I will stand in front of my open SpyderPac, frantically picking a knife. Then I get yelled at "you're not trying to decide what knife to bring with, are ya?" Then I get panicked and grab the Caly III...
"We're only going to return a movie!!" LOL :D :D
I do a good rotation, but at work it's always a PE Para with an orange 79mm Rescue. If it is field work where I am going to be in a stream, H1 Mariner.

I agree with Daniel 100%. I used to carry two Delicas PE and SE, until I got Persian and Caly3 G10/VG10. I carry these knives every day for more than two years and nothing can take them out of my pocket (Volpe and Lum were very close, but didn't make it). Few days a week Kopa join (not replace) both of them.datan wrote:Hey Riot,

It sound like C105 Persian and Caly3 were made for you.
